OMG, this happened in my hometown on early Sunday morning. Apparently, a gasoline tanker crashed causing flames to go up 200 feet. The intense heat melted the beams and made the freeway collapse. The driver walked away fine. And nobody was killed, miraculously. Here's the full story. This is the 880 freeway, the main freeway that everybody uses to commute to San Francisco/Oakland. Crazy! They say this is this is going to be the worse disruption for commuters since the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989. Gov. Arnold authorized funds so that ferries, buses and the rail system could carry commuters free of charge during Monday's commute. I talked to my mom today too, I'm surprised she didn't say anything.

Last night, Jose and I went for a 2 1/2 mile walk. It was a nice cool night. We went and bought fish to cook, a whole bunch of fruits, so I'm on my way (hopefully) to losing weight. I'm right now thawing out my salmon and I'll make some rice pilaf. I really could eat a nice cheeseburger right now though! And for snacking, I'll eat some fruit. *Sigh* wish me luck on my little journey here.

Well, my BIL's wedding is coming up and I decided I wanted to lose a couple of pounds. But ugghh, I hate exercising and dieting! I love food way too much and exercising just sucks in general. Today is so freakin hot!! Why?? I hate the heat
OMG, my husband got the XBox Live (where he can play with his friends, (through the net but yet they play through the tv, I have no idea how that works) and they all talk to each other through these headphone things. He's completely stoked about it! Technology, I tell you!

I'm so happy, I did really good on my Government test that it brought my class grade up to a 'B'....woohoo! I had done horrible on the first test, but I got an 'A' on the paper and a 'B' on this last test.
If I can pull a 'B' for this class at the end, I'll be happy. 2 'A's and 1 'B' for Spring semester is fine with me! Oh and a 'W' for Nutrition...but that doesn't count against my GPA. Tonight is 'The Shield' and Jose has to work....poor guy. I know he really wanted to watch it. I don't have a way of recording it for him either. We got the bill for my ER visit and I was so surprised to see that all we had to pay is less than $10! We were soooo expecting it to be in the hundreds for some reason. I guess I met my deductible with my last dr. appt. Yay!!

Woohooo! Guess where I'm at right now? In my room, away from my husband's noisy video game playing, with my wireless internet! Yes, you heard right. We got a wireless modem today and now I can listen to my audio lectures for my Government class (or anything for that matter) in my warm, comfy bed instead of a hard-ass chair in my cold kitchen. No longer do I have to tell the hubby to turn down the tv. Ya, and Jose got himself a brand new Xbox. So he's happily playing in the living room without having to hear my nagging voice telling him to keep it down. Today we went to the swapmeet in Santa Fe Springs. It was a beautiful day, we had a great day all together. Ok, I gotta go, it's a little hard to be typing this and to be listening to my ever-so-excting lecture on political parties at the same time....

I love April showers, I love rain period, though. So my brother-in-law's wedding is coming and I need to go dress shopping. Uggh. I don't have patience for that.
But the wedding should be fun. It's in on May 12 and it's going to be in South Lake Tahoe. The girl he's marrying is really nice. So I'm happy for both of them. I made a new friend. My ex's wife.... She found me on MySpace and she's a really nice girl. We were chatting for about 2 hours late last night. My husband doesn't mind, as long as I'm not having late night chats with HIM! Ok, have a goodnight!!

I made this little graphic to remember the victims of the horrible tragedy that occured on Monday, the 16th. If you want to use it, just click on it. The news even reached where my dad is, in Peru. I guess they were reporting over there that a Peruvian student was among the victims that were killed. His family is very sad over there. I feel for all of the victims and their families. And that chilling package that the killer sent to NBC...OMG. That just gave me chills. I guess it took a day more to get there because he had messed up on the zip code. This type of thing happend 30 years ago to the university I want to transfer too. It's just a very scary feeling that this type of thing can happen at anytime, anyplace.

I opened up my email the other day to find this little cutie from JayJay, isn't it adorable?! Thank you so much, girl!! I think I may have gotten a 100% on my math test yesterday....yay! And now that the project is over with Nutrition, I am free of the class, but first I'm going to wait for my transcripts to come from my former college so I can double-check everything before withdrawing. I wouldn't want to withdraw after I have come this far and then realize I wasn't supposed to, that would be a major "Ooops". I have a paper due for Government tomorrow, and a big exam for that same class on Sunday. So I might not be around much this week. The hubby is off today and tomorrow....yay! The only problem is that I'll be a bit distracted trying to study while he's watching tv. Great. Ok, that's it for now....bye all!!

Ya, I just decided to make my pw-entries private altogether. After all, I need a place to put my private thoughts and such. Either way, my entries are mostly public anyways. I have a huge headache right now.
Uggh. I don't think I mentioned that when I visited with my counselor, she opened up my sealed transcripts from like 10-12 years ago. I had requested them from my former college so I can have them for my appointment, just in case. But I was under the impression that I can "start all over" if I just take the right classes and get better grades (especially after 10-12 years!). Well, it turns out you can't "start all over". Your grades from way back then stay with you and they just get averaged out with your current grades. Because believe me, me at 18, 19 years old was not taking school seriously. So I got the worst grades. Well, it turns out that I took Health Science and got a 'B' back in my hometown, which fulfills the same requirement as this Nutrtion class that I'm taking now. So I'm going to go ahead and withdraw from Nutrition and just concentrate on American Government that is a way harder class. And Math, I have that one under control, I'm currently getting an 'A' in the class. Why keep going with this class, do all the work, and possibly risk getting a lower grade when I can concentrate on my much harder classes? But I didn't want to bail on my group, so I'm going to do this last project with them and then withdraw right after. I already sent the girl that's preparing the powerpoing my part. They were really grateful about me still staying with the project. Ok, off to take some Excedrin PM.....

Well, I changed my blog's look...I like it! I love the colors. Yay! Currently, I feel very overwhelmed with school. We have a group presentation on Monday for Nutrition and then afterwars I have a test in Math.....*sigh* My group and I are gonna meet on Sunday at this coffee place so we can go over our stuff. We're doing a powerpoint presentation. We are the second ones up on Monday. Yes, we have less time to prepare for it, but we just want to get it over with. I took a long nap after school so now I can't sleep. It's 1:42 am right now. But I need to get to bed soon, our appointment with our counselor is at 8:30 am. Ok, bye all!!

Look at the cute little gift I got from Ashild! Aww, thank you so much! Today was back to school for me. It was ok, the cup of coffee I had saved me today because I didn't get much sleep last night. Jose took me to school and thank goodness he did too because when I got home, my ankle started to hurt. I took some Advil and had him put the splint on me. I have tons of siggies to upload, I'll get to that when I can. I feel a little overwhelmed with Nutrition class right now. We have to get a group presentation ready for Monday and I have to study for a test for this coming Wednesday. Yikes. Well, I guess that's it for now. I'm going to take a nap now. Bye all!!

Happy Easter everyone! We just got back from a family bbq. They had an egg hunt for the kids. Check out the cute picture I took... 
Everything turned out good except for the fact that poor 3 yr old Ricky bumped his head hard on the corner of the table. Poor thing. He had a huge bump afterwards. My ankle was hurting a little today but other than that it was good. I hope you all had a great Easter with the family. Back to school tomorrow....boo! I'm trying to convince the hubby to drive me to school so I won't have to walk the long distance from my car to my classes. Enjoy the rest of your Easter Sunday!!

Awww, look at the little surprise I got from Johanna!! Isn't it adorable!?! Thanks, girl!! I don't want to go back to school!!! I've gotten way too lazy with literally laying around the house with this lovely ankle. Actually, I'm feeling a lot better now. I was able to walk next door to get something to eat yesterday....woohoo! God is really watching over me, and I thank him. It could have been a lot worse and the pain could have rolled over to next week (when I really can't miss any school). As you can all see, I will be pw-protecting some entries that way I can have more control of who reads some stuff that I don't want the whole world to see. All you girls that visit me regularly can have access, just contact me by leaving a comment or using my contact form in my menu. What are you all doing for Easter? Jose's uncle's parents are having a bbq at their beautiful house up in the hills, so we're going to that. I'm sure they will have an egg hunt for the kids like they did last year. Thanks everybody for the well-wishes. My ankle is doing a lot better. It still hurts but it doesn't hurt when you touch this certain spot anymore. Hubby has been so good lately. He's been doing all the housework and getting me everything that I need. Awww...
He goes back to work today and works for 3 days in a row. I did a little revamping here, added a couple more reads. I know some people were having trouble finding pictures of the rings, so I put them up (just click on the cupcake to the right 
). Let's see what else....not much really. Just anxiously waiting for my PSP 7 to get here. It's coming from Sacramento, so it should take a couple of days. I miss making graphics. My husband ordered some really cool looking business cards. They're so much nicer than the plain, generic ones he gets from the city. I'll put it up when he gets it. Ok, talk to you all later!!

It's 2:39 am and we got back from the ER about 45 minutes ago. Thank goodness they weren't busy. We got there at 11:30 pm and left at about 1:30. A very nice ER too. Long story short, I got a pretty good sprained ankle. It ended up getting swollen and it hurt like hell. The dr. put in a splint, that I can take off to shower and crutches. The splint I just have to wear for 2-3 days. I just can't put any weight on the ankle. Within a week, I have to go for a follow-up with my regular doctor. Poor Jose has to take care of all the housework today. Our poor little apartment just got neglected since this happened. Oh, I purchased PSP 7 on Ebay, they had it up for Buy It Now for only $25....yay!!

Ouch! As I was walking home from the store, I took a wrong step and my right ankle twisted causing my whole weight to fall on the ankle. It hurt so much! This was like 2 hours ago and it still hurts. It's not swollen, so that's a good sign. And I can walk on it, but it just hurts. I was planning on doing laundry and cleaning around here. Now I can't, it's so painful to go down the stairs, let alone with a big hamper full of heavy clothes. This sucks. Oh, yesterday I made a blinkie to link back to my blog, it's at the bottom. I just basically modified a blinkie that I had made for my main site. I'm sooooooo done with PSP 9, it's currently up on Ebay.....

Happy April Fools Day! Thank you, everybody, for the sweet comments on my rings.
I posted it on my MySpace blog and my husband posted in the comment's section, "Who's your daddy now, girl?" I'm soooo frustrated right now. Remember how I had mentioned I got PSP 9? Well, I had no idea how different it was from PSP 7 (what I've been used to working with for years). I can't do anything on this thing! I can't even make myself a simple blinkie for this blog....*sigh* I'm used to having every little tool at hand and just working with it without even thinking about it. But I can't seem to find the tool here that makes the paintbrush "mark" smaller. I'm making a pixel mark and it's huge and then it looks like an airbrush. And I'm saving them as PSP image to take it to Animation shop so I can turn it into a transparency. When I try to open it in Animation Shop, it tells me that the image is not a real PSP image? Huh??? I hate this. I have a test in my US Government today, so I have to study all day. I'm gonna try to stay away from the comp. Oh, I moved all my entries from when I started (Feb. 25th) to the last time I blogged, to my archives (the paperclip on the right side or can will always be found at the bottom of this page). I can't believe how time has flown since I started blogging. It's cool because I met some really great people through this blog in such a short time. Wish me luck on the test!!
