*Sigh*, ok these were the best picture that I can get. The flash just kept bouncing off the rings and you can't see any detail. But I did find the wedding band on Kay's Jeweler's site. And I found the closest thing to the main ring on another site but instead of the 3 diamonds on each side, my ring has 4 squared diamonds on each side.




Been busy with school but on Tuesday I had time to make those stuffed potatoes that I had posted about when my mom was here. It was the first time I made them and they came out good! It's a Peruvian dish called "Papa Rellenas" that consists of mashed potatoes, stuffed with meat, onions, olives, hard-boiled egg. They are a lot of work and very messy to make but well worth it at the end. I saved some for the hubby (he hasn't been home in 2 days because he had to spend the night over there due to having court right after his shift.) but I'm dying to steal some of his! Here's a picture of the inside I haven't picked up my rings yet, that's how busy I been but I should be picking them up tomorrow. As soon as I do, I'll post the pictures up. Oh ya, it's officially Spring break for me...woohoo!! Actually, I don't get that much of a break. I have to do a paper for my Government class....booo.

Thank you girls for your concern about my husband. He ended up calling right after I posted that entry, he had worked 3 1/2 hours overtime. How easily all of a sudden your sleepiness comes to you after you have peace of mind! So I went straight to bed after that. He has a long commute so he didn't actually walk in through that door till like 7:35 am. So the next day, we went to go see "Wild Hogs". OMG...it was sooooo funny! Some movies will only be funny in the parts where the previews are shown. This movie was funny all throughout. I completely recommend it! Today, we went to go have lunch at Jose's grandma's house. It was delicious. And then afterwards, we went shopping. I bought 3 new bras. And Jose got a new movie at Best Buy. Then we went grocery shopping. So all in all, it was a good day. They should be calling me about rings any day now. Can't wait! Have a great Sunday!!

It's 6:09 am and my husband is not home yet. He normally gets off work at like 4am. I called his phone twice a few hours ago and he's not answering. I never went to bed and I can't really sleep right now. Everytime this happens and he's not answering his phone, it just means he's working overtime. But I can't help getting a little worried, you know? Well, I ended up winning one of the Ebay auctions that was selling PSP 9. I outbidded at the last second with an odd amount and won it for $27...so yay! About the spam, I just ended up deleting my happylilshoppe.com email account from my control panel. I never used it and whatever spam I was getting was being redirected to my yahoo address (that's how I had set it up when I first got it). So with that email account gone altogether, it should take care of the whole spam problem. Ok, off to call my husband again....*sigh*

My husband told me last night that a young P1 (Police Officer 1) from the Hollywood division got killed in a car accident on his way to work. He left behind a fiance that was 5 months pregnant. He was only in his 20's. That's very sad. I don't know, ever since my husband became a cop, and I hear about a police officer or a fireman getting killed, it just touches me more deeply than it used to. I'm keeping his family in my thoughts. Ya, Darylynn, I used that maximum bid at the last second and still somebody sniped it away from me! Grr!! I think I may try again at this other auction that will end in 3 hours. Wish me luck! Does anybody have any suggestions on how to avoid receiving spam through your website? I don't get as much as I could get, but enough to annoy me. I have that spam poison button on the front of my main site, and it was working for a bit but then I guess it stopped? And I also changed where my email addresses ara at from @ to AT. That's not working either. The spam I'm getting is with the happylilshoppe.com email address. And I have my yahoo address on my site. So that's weird. So if you girls can suggest something that's working for you, I would really appreciate it!! Ok, off to have some lasagna!!

Thank you, girls, for your sweet comments. My migraine went away that night after I took the Excedrin PM, so yay! Being that my siggie collection has gotten so big, I ended up moving it to it's own little place. You can see it HERE or you can click on the little pallet to the right in the mini menu. I still can't find my PSP 7 cd. I had borrowed the PSP 9 cd from one of my online friends from FL and that's how it's in the other laptop that's being fixed. But I don't want to ask for it again (to put it in this laptop). I tried to bid on it on Ebay yesterday, and I had the winning bid at the last second, and of course, I got beat out of it on the last mili-second. It was going for really cheap too. My husband thinks it's a waste of money that I'm willing to pay for it when it's somewhere around this house. But I haven't seen it since we moved here (Nov. 2005). *sigh* I guess I'll just keep looking for it or just wait till I get my other laptop back. I'm going to make a blinkie for this site as soon as I get the other laptop back, since I see a lot of blogs have their own blinkies to link back with.

Uggh, I have a huge migraine....I'm going to take Excedrin PM in a few so I can just go to sleep afterwards. I've gotten hooked on the show "The Real Housewives of Orange County" on the Bravo channel. Jose and I have been literally watching it all day today.... I guess it's a marathon because tonight is the Reniuon special. Our other laptop is at Jose's friends house getting looked at (the internet doesn't seem to come up) and in that laptop is my PSP 7 program. I have a few orders for siggies and I had to say that I should get their siggies to them by next week. I can't find my cd, which sucks..... I'm dying to make a few little graphics for my blog. I also changed my blog url to http://blog.happylilshoppe.com. The other one (http://happylilshoppe.com/blog.html) still works it's just if you put in the new one you will be redirected. It's a little shorter, so yay Ok, I'm out....talk to you all later!

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments on my rings and on my blog! I really appreciate it. I'm dying to get pick them up already! I had forgotten to mention that on Friday, on our way back from the airport, I noticed a cop was behind us with his light on. So we pulled into a parking lot and I just realized I was going to see how much it would matter that my husband was a cop, and to see if you really got out of a ticket. The cop was all serious, "Do you realize you were going 61 at a 45 mph zone? Can I see your license, sir?" Jose hands him his license and his LAPD ID too. Immediately the cop's demeanor changes. He goes, "Oh right on, what division do you work for?" Jose tell him. Then the cop asks, "Do you know "so-and-so and so-and-so?" "Ok", the cop says, "have a good day." My husband says, "Sorry about that, sir". The cop responds with, "Nah, don't worry about it." Sweet!!

We went and bought my new rings today! I'm so happy and just have been daydreaming since we got home from the mall. Ok, we went into a few jewelry stores today and there was really nothing that caught my eye. And most of these place weren't willing to trade my old ring in unless it was bought from their store. So we went into Kay Jewelers and right away he said he can trade it in. While he was trying to get it appraised, we sat and looked at their display and there so many beautiful rings there! To make a long story short, we left buying a 2 ctw, 3-stone Princess-cut diamond in 14kt white gold, with a matching band that had little diamonds on it. The wedding band was a last minute surprise from my husband. I was willing to just use my old wedding band (which is just a plain 14kt white gold ring) and he said might as well get a matching band too! I was like, "What's the catch!" But yes, so we will be able to pick up the rings around the 27th because they are getting resized. This is an early 5-yr wedding anniversary present. As soon as I get them, I will post pictures of them.....woohooo!!!

Well, I added a little navigation to the right of my blog . It has a link to my main site, my blog, my personal reminders, gifts, a link to my police site and a contact link. I thought those little icons were adorable and I just had to use them. I've had a bit of a problem for months now. My wedding ring has not been able to come off my finger. The band has been starting to dig into my skin and cutting it. And it would hurt even worse when I tried to take it off. It wouldn't even go over the first knuckle. After attempts of trying to take it off with butter, baby oil, soap, my finger would just swell up. So today, we went to one of the jewelery stores in the mall and they cut off my ring. My wedding band was underneath and since it's always been a little bigger, I was able to slip it right off. My finger was all crusty and dry with 2 big, red rings around them. I couldn't even feel anything when I would run my finger over it. But with putting a little bit of lotion it already looks better! We can always have the ring sealed back and resized bigger orrrrrrr my husband has been wanting to get me a nice upgrade in time for our 5th wedding anniversary. I'm gonna let my finger heal since it still has the indentation of the rings, but we've already been checking out some rings. If we get one, I will be sure to put pictures up here....! Ok, I'm sleepy....going to bed. It's 1 in the morning. Goodnight!

I'm officially done with my Sociology class....woohoo! I got an 'A' on this last test and according to my calculations of all my test/assignment scores, I got an 'A' in the class! I'm so happy! In exactly one week, I start American Government *Sigh* That's gonna be one boring class....but what I can do? I need it. Today it was in the 90's here! I hate hot weather! It's barely spring! I don't even want to know how summer is going to be! Ok, I hope all of you have a great night, I know I will!!

Oh my gosh...the chapter that I'm reading right now for Sociology is soooooo boring! I can't get into the reading for the life of me! Normally, this class has been very interesting, but this particular chapter is talking about how communities came to be back in the old days. *sigh* But I have to keep reading because I have a test on Monday. The last one too, after that I will start American Government. Jose and my mom went to get all the stuff we need to make "Papa Rellenas" (Stuffed Potatoes), it's a Peruvian dish. They're mashed potatoes formed into balls filled with meat, olives, onions, egg....oh my gosh, it's sooooo good!! I can't wait to start eating!! I sure miss my mom's cooking.

My mommy is here! It's so nice to have her here After we picked her up at the airport, we went to get some Peruvian food at this place called "El Rocoto". Everything was sooooo delicious Then we came home. She loved our place. Everybody was so sleepy, my mom took a nap on the couch, I was trying to study but I fell asleep too, and Jose took a nap in the room. Then the phone rang and it was my sister wanting to know if my mom got here ok. So I've been awake since. She's gonna be here for 1 week....so it will be nice. Oh, as you can all see, I brought my blog over to it's own little place. I wanted to put up my favorite reads and eventually my archives too. I like the way it came out I hope you all do too! And thank you to the people who complimented my new look!

We have so much work to do today here at the house. Jose is on his way from buying his holster and picking me up so we can get some new couch pillows, a new table runner and a new bathroom rug. So I'm not sure I will be on too much today. Yay, my new siggy orders are in. Yesterday I put the ones I got from Terry's Treasures up. I love her Lionel and Lilac dolls. And today I got my order in from Angela's Doodle Pad and Karrols Korner. Actually the siggy below is one of them. Isn't it cute? I'll put those up in my Siggy Collection when I get a chance. I just realized after I put those new siggies up, it will put me well over the 200 count...I am OFFICIALLY a Siggy Addict.... I hope all of you have a great Thursday!

It's like a big weight off of my shoulders to get today's tests out of the way. Now I can concentrate on getting my home ready for my mom's visit. I think I did really good on my Math test, and Nutrition...I think I did alright. Better than last time, that's for sure. I think I may have gotten a 'B' in the Nutrition test. We'll see. Grades should be up tomorrow. I'm just taking a quick break in between cleaning. My lower back seems to ache after a short time of cleaning, it's annoying. So I gotta keep taking little breaks. I might pop a couple of Advils. I bought some new siggies, I got one already in my email. Can't wait to put them up! Ok, I'll be on later!!

Yay! I got a 100% on my Math quiz today...I'm so happy!! I don't do the homework till the day of the class but I do in Math Lab so I can get my hours in. And I always end up finishing it with no problems. I'm going to try to get at least 40 hours of lab hours (minimum is 15 hrs)..so I can get my 40 extra points Ok, I just wanted to share the happy news. Tonight is my Sociology test...I hope to get an 'A' on that one too.
Update: I got a 100% on my Sociology test....woooohooo!!!

*Sigh* My eyes hurt big time. But I'm trying to get my Sociology studying out of the way before tomorrow, because I want to dedicate myself to studying for Nutrition (before the test on Wednesday). I'm just here taking a quick break. At least I'm done with the recommendation letter for Mrs. Eggers. It wasn't hard to write at all, she's a great teacher. My poor husband is on his 3rd out of the 5 days that he has to work in a row. Poor guy. A couple of days ago, they found a little doggy at the station parking lot. He was a little yorkshire and hubby said his little face look like an old man's.....awww. Well anyways, aside from being a little stinky and dirty, he look well-cared for, his teeth were clean and all. They said he was the quietest little dog too. So one of the cops (that already has 3 dogs of his own) took him home and will put up posters for a lost dog. My mom called me a few hours ago saying that she saw on the news that an asian family in Los Angeles had gotten 4 yorkshires stolen, they found 3 of them and are looking for the 4th one. I immediately called hubby and told him. He said he had seen that story too and that he had made a mistake on what kind of dog it was, and he didn't think it was from that family. Aww, either way, if they don't find him his right owner, I hope they find him a good home. I would love to have him but we live in an apartment complex and our place is not set up for pets. Abandoned/lost animals break my heart.

Hubby just left for the gym and after that he'll go straight to work. I won't see him till tomorrow morning. He normally works at the most 3- 12 hour days...but starting to day, he's scheduled to work 5- 12 hour days!! That's gonna kill him! My mom is coming to visit us next Friday....so yay! It will be the first time since we moved into our new place that she's going to see it. She's coming from the Bay Area. I see they FINALLY put Anna Nicole Smith's body to rest, next to her son. That's where she should be buried, I don't know what all the court procedures and waste of time was for. Poor thing couldn't even have an open casket because they took too long embalm her. In a little bit I'm gonna jump in the shower and take off to Target. I need to pick up my prescription and some stuff we need. Oh, and update on my dr visit from Tuesday. The dr. said everything looks normal, she just wants me to get tested for high cholesterol, anemia, and the thyroid test. So I gotta get that done. It's done at a different office building, I just can't have anything in my stomach for a minimum of 8 hours before the tests. Ok, that's all for now. Afterwards, I gotta clean, fold clothes and continue to study....*sigh*

I just got off school and I'm happy to report that I got an 'A' on today's Math quiz . So I'm in a good mood. Uggh, I have tons of studying to do. I have tests in all my classes next week and I also have to write the recommendation letter for Mrs. Eggers. I cannot forget that. Hubby took the laptop to work yesterday, so I didn't log on. That's ok, I needed a break from the net anyways. Today is basically my "Friday" but I'm gonna be dedicating from here to Monday to just studying. Ok, I'll be back later.....

So today in Math, I didn't do as great as I thought I would in our quiz. Today we covered 4 sections in a chapter (when we normally cover 2)....that's alot to take in. I gotta start reading up in my Nutrition text too....*sigh* Fun, fun. Tomorrow at 10:30 am, I have my annual girlie test at the dr's. So that should be loads of fun. Look at this new little siggy that I got. Isn't it cute? I'm watching "Ellen" right now. I like her alot. She's so cute and funny, and just seems like all around nice person. I heard that she did great as the hostess for the Oscars. I didn't watch it this year. But I heard she was pretty funny. They're doing a post-Oscar show, where she's showing all the behind-the-scenes and how they came up with some of the funny monologues, it's interesting. Ok, it's back on....ta-ta!!

Hi all! I'm trying out this blog to see if I will get into it...lol We'll see. I should really be studying right now, but as always, the net seems to be a little more tempting . I'm not feeling good right now either...*sigh* We went to Red Lobster today for Jose's grandma's birthday and I'm not a big fan of Red Lobster. But OMG, they're having a Lobster fest right now and I ordered the pasta with lobster meat and lobster sauce....it was DELICIOUS!!! It's enough for me to want to go back!! I couldn't finish it all, so I'll finish later on tonight (that is, if Jose doesn't get to it first)!!

Reminder to Self: Write recommendation letter for Mrs. Eggers- Due March 5th. I really hopes she gets Teacher of the Year, she trully deserves it!!
