*Sigh* I have 3 quizzes, 1 test, 1 rough draft paper for Oceanography, and 2 Music Appreciation tests due by the end of this week. So I won't be around too much this week. I really need to focus on my studying (and writing), not to mention, A LOT of reading. I'm not too worried about my Music Appreciation class, that's an easy 'A'. But Oceanography is coming to an end and I really want to get a decent grade. I hope everyone had a great weekend and wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead!!!

Geez, how many times does one have to announce the grand opening of their site?? I think we got it after the first 4 times!! Anyways, last night we went out to dinner with Jose's aunt and uncle, and a family friend. This was my first time going to this italian place called Roman Cucina. OMG, it was sooooo good. I had the fettuccini alfredo with shrimp, very goood!! I could only finish like half of it, took the rest home. It was like an hour wait. But it was well worth it.

OMG, THIS is horrible. They closed down Six Flags in Louisville, KY because a 13 yr old got her feet chopped off while on the Superman ride. I guess there was a loose cable. How horrible!!

And what about that 26 yr old (9 months pregnant) girl they can't find. Her 2 yr old son was found by himself by his grandmother with a dirty diaper and the place ransacked. The baby was able to say, "Mommy was crying. Mommy was in the rug." That gave me the chills when I heard that. They say "the rug" was the comforter that was missing. Poor girl. They say an abandoned newborn little girl was found at the doorstep of a house 45 miles from where this girl lived. But they still haven't been able to determine if that's her baby. Dang, poor family. My thoughts and prayers go out to them, I hope they find the girl.
***UPDATE*** Oh no, they found her body in an National Park in Ohio today at 3:30 pm. Her boyfriend was arrested for 2 murder charges. This is so sad. Even the family attorney was emotional. HERE'S the story so far.

It's 2:40 in the morning and I'm wide awake. I've been going to bed sooooo late lately. Jose gets paid within the hour, so I'm just checking our bank account from time to time. He pulled in a lot of overtime for this paycheck, so this will be a good one.

I once again started to mess around with my blog, and I changed the side bar a bit. I like it. I love pink and pastel colors. Well, there's really not much to report on, I'm just bored and wanted to update with a post. Take care!!!

Well, I had a memorable night last night. I normally wait till late at night to do laundry (because our apt. complex laundry room will be packed during the day, especially during the weekends). I picked up the keys that had the apt. and the car keys. I normally like to seperate them so I won't have to carry bulky keys with me. I went ahead and seperated them, opened the door, locked and closed the door. When I picked up my hamper, I look down at my keys and it turned out I was holding the JEEP KEYS!!!! I just stood there for a minute, thinking. Mind you, it's 11 pm, Jose is not home, the manager's office is closed, I didn't even have a cell on me. This had been my biggest fear since I moved here, locking myself out. Ok, I thought, "Don't panic. Just knock on your neighbor's door, ask to use the phone and call the 'Emergency Maintenance' so they can come and unlock the door fo you." I knock, no answer. It's a brand new neighbor, and she has not completely moved in yet, I guess she wasn't there tonight. I thought of the elderly couple downstairs but I didn't want to bother them because I'm sure by this time they were asleep. We have another neighbor, a 25 yr old kid that is attending the LAPD Academy and he has become friendly with Jose, and his mom lives with him(she also loves Jose). I went downstairs and I can see that their kitchen light was on. Good!! I went and knocked and his mom let me in. I explained what happened and asked her if I can use her phone to call 'Emergency Maintenance'. I called the main office number and there is an option that if this is a maintenance emergency, to leave a message and press #4 and the maintenance will paged. I had used this option before when we didn't have any hot water one night, and immediately they came. To make a long story short, maintenance never got back to me (I called them 4 times), and I finally had no choice but to call Jose who was in Los Angeles. He ended up coming in the cop cruiser and in his uniform, with his partner. He used his lunch hour to come rescue me. I'm sure people were wondering what was an LAPD cop car doing in Orange County..... I finally didn't get back into my apartment till 1:30 am!! My hamper was still chillin there in front of my door. The lady was so nice to let me stay there in her apartment and wait. I don't know what I would have done if she wouldn't have been home! I felt so bad that I was imposing and I kept apologizing and she kept telling me it was ok. I originally thought I was going to be there for few minutes to use her phone and to wait for maintenance. Today, I ran into one of the maintenance guys and I told him about what happened. And he said he never got paged. He barely heard the messages this morning in the office. I guess the new, stupid, manager gets paged first and then if she feels it's a big enough emergency, she calls the maintenance guys that live in the complex. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would think being homeless at 11pm till 1 in the morning was emergency enough!! I swear, ever since that woman has become manager in the beginning of the year, our rent has gone up, and the rules have been stricter. Ugghhh!!

So anyways, I'm so thankful for Darren's mom that I'm going to buy her one those strawberry/banana pies from Polly's Pies. I sooooo thanked her and gave her a hug when Jose showed up. She said that we should make a copy of our key and to give it to her, so we can just pick it up if this ever happens again. I'm going to do the same for her. God bless her........

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies!! I called my dad (he's lives in Peru) but nobody was home, so I just left a message. I'm sure he was out celebrating with his wife and the kids.

I'm sooooo happy! I got the rest of the afternoon to myself THAT DOES NOT ACTUALLY INVOLVE SCHOOLWORK!! I finished my Oceanography test the other night, got an 81 (as long as stay within the 'B' range in the tests, and I have been so far, I'm fine). Posted on the discussion board about my upcoming paper, did my critique to 2 other students, took my Music Appreciation test- got a 94. So I'm done.....till tomorrow I'm still pulling that 'B' in the Oceanography class. Just a few more weeks. I will be happy with a 'B' for the course. Music Appreciation is an easy 'A'.

Yesterday, Jose had it off. And he spent allllll day on his XBox Live with his friends who were also playing XBox from their own homes. And if that wasn't enough, he goes over to their house and was out late last night. I felt so neglected yesterday . Ok, off to enjoy my afternoon to myself...woohoo!!

A couple of nights ago, I was THIS close to withdrawing from the Oceanography class. There are tons of flaws with the computer system he's using. The last straw for me was when I got a question that I got correct, wrong, FOR THE 3RD TIME!! Of course, I call these "discrepencies" to the professors attention EVERY TIME. My biggest concern is how many other right answers will I get marked wrong? It turns out a lot of the class are failing already and I'm getting a 'B'. We're literally halfway done with the class. So I'm just gonna stick with it. I don't want to take this Physical Science requirement again. This is so ridiculous, but I will pay careful attention to what I get wrong (I already do). It's so lame.

Yesterday was my sister's birthday. She's 28 now. She says she's getting old.....LOL Ya right, then what does that make me, then? I changed the look here. These changes are never planned. I just start by messing around with PSP and then I come up with something and before I know it, I'm changing the whole layout. I'm pleased with the results. Ok, off to watch a little bit of tv.

Last night, I made the huge mistake of going to bed with a little headache. Only to wake up today and it had turned into a full-blown migraine. I didn't have any Excedrin PM and I didn't want to take regular Excedrin (because of the caffeine in them). I felt horrible. So I got something small to eat so I can take the Excedrin. I layed down on the couch to do some reading in my Oceanography book and the thought of laying down next to my husband sounded nice. I took a long nap and I woke up to no headache.....yay!! I went ahead and took my Music Appreciation test yesterday, got an 'A'....so yay to that too. I was going to take 5 classes in the Fall, but I don't think I can handle it. This one Oceanography class alone is draining the hell out of me and my body is starting to react. So I'm going to leave Child Psychology till the following semester and take English 100 (College Writing), Speech (yuk), Stats, and Philosophy. 2 of these classes will be night classes. Let's see, what else...I need to start my paper for my Oceanography. Hopefully, my strong writing skills will show up on my paper and I can get a good grade. Ok, that's it for now. Ta-ta....

Well, I took the Oceanography test last night, got a 'B'. Everybody in that class is having trouble, though. This class is seriously not easy. I neglected my Music Appreciation class for this. I'm catching up now. It seems like everybody's scared to email the teacher, I'm the only that keeps bugging him. For example, an image on the test wasn't showing up, so I had to blindly guess. I emailed him, he said he's giving everybody 5 points for that. Good. And I emailed him about some other discrepancies on the quizzes and tests. It's honestly annoying. Jose and I went to go see Shrek 3 on Friday night. It was really cute, I liked it better than the first one. And yesterday, we went to his grandma's house who had made tamales. OMG, they were so delicious. She packed us up some, along with rice. Delicious.

Oceanography Sucks!!! Today is the last day to drop the class without a 'W' (with a refund) but I refuse to give up!! I would be wasting time if I drop this class because I still have to take an earth science class for my general ed. Ugghhhhhh!!!! On another note, I figured this siggy was perfect for this entry (me looking lost in the ocean)....

I got tagged by Jay Jay and Kaye. So here goes:

Here are the rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they have been tagged and to read your blog!

1. The earliest memory I have is when I was 6 months old. I know the family friend that was baby talking to me. I even remember the details down to the color of the wallpaper (70's orangy/brown color). I told my mom of my memory and she confirmed where it was and how old I was.
2. When I was about 2, I got a tick stuck to my head while at a park. My mom found it on me when she was rubbing my head and my dad had to come from work and took it right out.
3. When I started school, I didn't know any English.
4. So in kindergarten, I had a racist teacher and she used to always yell at only me, make me face the wall and even pulled my hair during an assembly. I didn't tell anybody at the time because I figured that's how all teachers were.
5. When I was 14, I almost got raped by a stranger at the door.
6. I didn't start working till I was 18.
7. I met my husband online.

I was just about to fall asleep when my mom called. The phone made me completely jump...I hate that. Anyways, we got news that an old family friend passed away from colon cancer. It was a quite a shock. If you see pictures from my 1st birthday, he's there. It's very sad. He has a 26 yr old son....I feel so bad for him.

I made spaghetti today, with my mom's sauce recipe....it came out delicious. Anyways, I added 10 new sigtags to my site. I took advantage while I was off to make a bigger-than-usual update. School has started and my Oceanography class is pretty hard-core. Whereas my Music Appreciation class seems easy. So I'm glad it's balanced out that way. These classes will end July 5th and on July 7th, I start my Human Sexuality class. Once again, I have a headache. I've been getting them a lot lately. I feel like I've been stressing out over every little thing and that's obviously what's causing them. Sucks.

Hi all! Happy June! New month, new look! I've been pretty lazy about blogging lately. It's just one those normal phases that bloggers go through, I guess. Oh, I'm glad you all liked your little gift! Today, I woke up with a headache and a little bit of nausea. I still feel that way. Uggh. And tomorrow I start school. Fun, fun. I was looking forward to starting school but now I don't want to. I just want one more day off!! Oh well. Jose is getting ready to go to work right now. I sooooo want him to call in today, but we all know he can't. I can smell his cologne right now...mmmmm. Well, there's not much to report on this end. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
